The next little video we did was about the fortified village of Montefioralle, located just above Greve in Chianti. This was such a cool little village which started as early as 1085! The defense walls are still intact and walking through the tiny town was like going back in time. I sort of wished I was wearing some fabulous Italian Renaissance dress and was walking through the streets of my little village on the way to the market. One can dream.
We had an amazing lunch at Taverna del Guerrino where we happily ate pasta on their balcony overlooking the rolling hills and the winery that produces their house wine. It was such a great little town to explore, and I'd highly recommend making the trip if you're in Greve. You can easily walk to Montefioralle, but it's uphill the entire way, so we were lazy and drove up there, parked, and then walked around to our hearts' content.
